A high volume of primary hip and knee replacements are done here and this rotation includes exposure to robotic techniques and vast general orthopaedic procedures. The Sports Medicine team of researchers, educators, and clinicians includes primary care sports medicine physicians, orthopaedic surgeons, physical therapists, athletic trainers, exercise physiologists, and dietitians working in collaboration to deliver world class care. Meals are provided to residents with in-house call responsibility. Each June, clinical activities are suspended for a half-day. Each resident is assigned a high school beginning in their PGY-2 year and acts as the team physician for the football team covering Friday night games through the season (including playoffs).
